Our Story
SVF was established in the year 1979 by Mr. Subburayan at Teynampet, Chennai. The business grew rapidly and was later handed over to his son in law, Mr. Parthiban. He brought in his innovation and expanded it by bringing in intricately designed household furniture. Now, the baton has been passed to the third generation. The grandson of Mr.Subburayan, Mr. Shankaran will continue to uphold the decorum and reputation of the SVF brand. Over the span of 42 years, we have built our brand and are presently moving into the digital space to expand our business

We started our venture with a limited professional workforce to make and maintain the quality of the furniture in traditional methods. We are proud to say that we carry forward our brand with an experienced team, who are skilled in adapting new technology-based methods to improve and speed up our production process, yet staying authentic to our traditions.

Our Wood
We source Balasha teak wood from the plateaus of Nagpur, Maharastra to make our furniture. Raw wooden logs are procured from main dealers and carefully seasoned to achieve the finest timber quality. Undoubtedly, seasoned wood is the best way of making furniture as it gives better sustainability and appearance.
OUR PROCESS
After making the furniture, we move on to polishing which is crucial for providing the finished product. Normally, we prefer to give a naturally polished look and stay away from artificially staining or colouring our products. This way the natural look, texture and feel of the original wood can be retained to make it look more rustic and aesthetic. In case, a customer needs a specific coloured polish we will full their wish as well.

We promise to integrate our traditional roots of making furniture with new technology to produce furniture with innovative and creative designs that suit your needs.
